Characteristics and properties of titanium carbide (Tic)
The compound of titanium carbide (Tic) carbon and titanium has the properties of high temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in manufacturing wear-resistant materials, cutting tool materials, aerospace, medical instruments and many other fields.
At present, titanium carbide has gradually replaced the traditional wear-resistant materials such as silicon carbide, boron carbide, chromium oxide, and has become a very valuable wear-resistant material. The wear resistance of titanium carbide is comparable to that of synthetic diamond, and its hardness is generally higher than HRA90, and it can withstand the high temperature of 300 ℃, which has been widely used. The production of wear-resistant products made of titanium carbide material can greatly reduce the cost and wear rate, and improve the precision and smoothness.
