Cemented carbide is divided into several categories, and how to choose?
There are many types of cemented carbide, commonly used cemented carbide can be divided into the following categories:
1. Tungsten cobalt carbide, the main components are tungsten carbide and cobalt, suitable for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials.
2. Tungsten titanium cobalt carbide, the main components are tungsten carbide, titanium carbide and cobalt, suitable for cutting carbon steel and alloy steel.
3. Tungsten titanium tantalum (niobium) cemented carbide, also known as general carbide or universal carbide, the main components are tungsten carbide, titanium carbide, tantalum carbide (or niobium carbide) and cobalt, suitable for cutting stainless steel and other difficult to process materials.
4. Titanium carbide based carbide, the main component is titanium carbide and nickel, molybdenum and other bonding phase, with high red hardness and magnetic resistance.
5. Ultrafine grain carbide, made of ultrafine WC powder as raw material, has high wear resistance and bending strength.
6. The surface coating of cemented carbide is coated with one or more layers of high hardness and good wear resistance coating on the cemented carbide tool with high toughness to improve the performance of the tool.
7. Steel-bonded cemented carbide, with WC or TiC as the hard phase and high-speed tool steel as the bonding phase, a material between cemented carbide and high-speed tools.
